Start your day with an invigorating breakfast from the buffet: from 7.00 to 10.30 on weekdays and from 7.30 to 11.00 am on weekends.

We pamper you with warm bread – fresh from the oven, eggs from an organic farm, a choice of cereals and cornflakes and a lot more for the perfect start of the day. Until 5.00 pm a selection of teas and Grander water is provided.

If you have booked our half-board we invite you to Otto’s – our organic restaurant – in the evening. There we serve fresh dinner from 6.00 – 9.00 pm. Our menu comes with fish or meat, but you can also choose our vegetarian/vegan alternative. Wednesday is our FREE-from day, as we offer a larger selection of healthy vegetarian and vegan dishes as well as a fresh fish dish instead of meat.

If you suffer from allergies or have a food intolerance, please let us know upon booking. As far as possible, we will prepare the food accordingly. Please note that an additional fee (due to extra work) can be charged.

Take a break from everyday life. Our Rhön-Spa is open Monday to Thursday from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm and Friday to Sunday from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm, and it is available to you free of charge.

Enjoy our spa, which includes a garden sauna, the Haus der Stille, a fresh air grotto, a Finnish sauna (90°C), a herbal sauna (60°C), and a steam bath. Take a refreshing swim in our natural swimming pond, a true experience for your skin. With our wide range of additional treatments, such as Shiatsu or a Bamboo Massage, there's something for everyone. Our staff is happy to help you choose a suitable one.

In our rooms, you will sleep under duvets and on pillows that not only offer the highest comfort but have also been selected with special care. Our bedding comes from Seibersdorfer and carries the "Glückliche Gänse" guarantee. This ensures that the feathers and down come exclusively from geese that are kept humanely on farms in natural herds with mother animals. Live plucking is guaranteed not to take place!

People suffering from allergies can also sleep soundly with us: The bedding from Seibersdorfer is marked with the NOMITE label, indicating that it is suitable for people with house dust mite allergies. This way, you not only enjoy restful sleep but you can also be assured that our bedding has been selected with respect for animal welfare and health.

Take advantage of our free Wi-Fi, which is available throughout the hotel (excluding Rhön-Spa). In your hotel room, you will find a wellness bag with bathrobes and towels that you can use in the Rhön-Spa. Bath slippers are also available at the reception should you forget to bring your own. In the Rhön-Spa, Grander water and tea are available for you at no charge.

If you are travelling with your electric car, our charging stations (6) are available for you (for a fee). Furthermore, you can safely store your bicycles in our bicycle box, which includes a free charging station for e-bikes. In our 15,000 m² outdoor area with the Naschgarten and the herb garden, you can sample nature's fruits to your heart's content.

You can also help yourself to our tea bar in the restaurant from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm free of charge. For a snack, feel free to pick whatever grows in our garden – the selection depends on the season. Additionally, our small menu is available for snacks from 1:00 pm.

Environmental protection is more than just a word for us - for the sake of the environment and due to the frequent requests of our guests, we clean your room every second day during your stay. This decision is an important contribution to conserving resources and protecting the environment. If you would like an additional towel change or a mid-stay cleaning, simply let us know at the reception the evening before, and we will take care of it. Thank you for supporting us in our efforts!

On the day of arrival, your room will be available for you from 3:00 pm. If you arrive earlier, you are welcome to use our Rhön-Spa or relax on our terrace. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that rooms will be ready before 3:00 pm. On the day of departure, we kindly ask you to vacate your room and settle your bill by 11:00 am.

We care deeply about nature, which is why we are happy to support you if you choose to travel sustainably by train. Mellrichstadt is easily accessible by train with its own train station. You can reach our property on foot within 20 minutes, but we are also happy to pick you up from the station. To avoid any waiting time, please arrange this with us in advance.

You can park your car in one of our hotel parking spaces conveniently and free of charge. Some parking spots are directly in front of the house, and a large parking lot is located above the hotel. Here you will also find our hotel’s electric charging stations. Additional charging stations, including two fast chargers, are available below Hotel STURM.

You can use your own charging card or obtain a card at the reception if needed. In this case, the charging cost of € 0.60 per kWh will be charged directly to your room bill, so you don't have to worry about anything and can enjoy your stay. Please remember to bring your charging cable.

To ensure that all guests can use the charging stations, we kindly ask you to vacate the charging station as soon as your car is fully charged. Please note the blocking fees imposed by your provider when using your own charging card, which we cannot influence.

Our bicycle box is available to all guests with a room key. Here, you can safely store your bicycles and lock them with your own lock. We also offer charging stations for e-bikes, so your bicycles are well protected and ready for use at any time. Please note that charging batteries is only permitted in the bicycle garage.

You don’t have to worry about whether you bike is safe: access to the bicycle box is only granted to guests, and all accesses are logged.

Would you like to rent a bike? Our bicycles are perfect for exploring the area. Whether you want to discover the picturesque landscape or enjoy a leisurely bike ride, our all-rounder bikes from Cube offer you comfort and flexibility. Don’t hesitate to ask for further information at the reception or to book your bike. Locks and helmets are also available.

For up to 3 hours a day, the rental fee is €10.00 per bike. If you want to be out longer, the price is €15.00 per day. We look forward to assisting you with your plans.

Please understand that we must charge you, if the booked room cannot be occupied. Depending on the time of cancellation, the following fees apply:

• Up to 15 days before arrival – free of charge
• 14 to 7 days before arrival – 50% of the booking price
• less than 7 days before arrival – 90% of the booking price

Of course, we will always try to rebook your cancelled room. If we succeed, no costs will incur.

Our tip: Travel safely – cancel without risk. To ensure that you are compensated for any potential financial losses in case of cancellation or interruption of your vacation due to illness, accident, or unemployment – even within the family – we recommend the products of our partner ERGO Reiseversicherung, the market leader among travel insurers in Germany.

Our hotel offers the possibility of free access. Our public areas, such as the restaurant, lounge, and library, are accessible on the ground floor. You can easily reach the rooms in the main building via the elevator, as well as the Rhön-Spa in the basement.

However, please note that most rooms are equipped with a bathtub or a shower step and are therefore not fully accessible.

Please note, that access to our wellness area is granted for kids from the age of 14.

Please do not smoke in our hotel with spa in the Rhön. You can smoke on our terraces and in the adjacent garden. Please consider our non-smoking guests – especially during meal times. If you smoke in your room, we will charge a fee for the additional cleaning costs or if necessary, a fee for the non-occupation of the room.

If you suffer from any allergies or food intolerances, please inform us upon booking. Due to our transparent kitchen concept, we can prepare many dishes according to your meals. Please note that this can result in additional costs (due to extra work).

At our hotel we offer free Wi-Fi. You receive the login details at our reception. Please silence your mobiles and tablets, with consideration of fellow guests, especially in the dining room and the Rhön Spa. Thank you for your understanding!

Our child rates are valid for all children staying in the double room with two full-paying adults. Kids up to the age of 2 stay free at our hotel with spa. For older kids we charge the following fees:

• from 3 – 6 years: € 59.00 per kid/night
• from 7 – 12 years: € 79.00 per kid/night

Please note that our Double Rooms Gartenblick are only bookable for adults.

Our natural swimming pond is open year-round and is a natural alternative, perfectly suiting the values of our house, for our guests, providing a refreshing dip in the summer or an ice bath in the winter; whether you choose to swim without swimwear or in swimwear is up to you. The pond is located in the middle of STURM Park, and the purity of the water, filled with energy-giving Grander water, is a special experience. Without chlorine or similar chemical additives, swimming in the pond ensures a pleasant feeling on the skin.

We invest a lot of time to ensure that you can relax as much as possible. We therefore ask you to refrain from bringing your own food and drink.
